I’ve finally decided to commit to actually writing my first book. As a first time write from Aylesham in Kent, it’s great to finally have a plan in my head.
I’ve been trying to get a book written for quite a while now. I have started a story approximately 5 years ago, and for various reasons I have never finished it.
But after a long think about what I want to achieve before I’m 50, I have settled on my idea and how I intend on writing it. I’m really excited by this project and I can’t wait to get stuck into it.
I also have a full-time job, so finding the time to write as much as I can will be the main challenge. Ideally, I would love to be able to book a cottage somewhere out in the middle of nowhere with no internet to spend all my time just writing.
There is enough material in my head to be able to write a whole book. They say that you should write about what you know when you attempt to write for first book. That was certainly the advice I take onboard to get started on my first book.
To keep myself motivated, I have opened up a Facebook page called Lee’s Writing a Book. I have already invited all my Facebook friends. My theory is that if I tell as many people as possible that I am writing a book, I’ll have to actually write it.
